International summer school for humour studies, Estonia
The Estonian Literary Museum in Tartu, Estonia, is happy to be the host of the ISS11.
The event will take place in August 15 - 20, 2011.
This year's highly interdisciplinary Summer School and Symposium on Humour and Laughter (ISS11) will offer lectures of many prominent researchers in their speciality, some of them known already from previous summerschools: sociology (professor Christie Davies, Dr. Sharon Lockyer), linguistics and culture studies (professor Holger Kersten, Dr. Wladislaw Chlopicki), psychology (professor Willibald Ruch, professor Sven Svebak), religious studies (professor John Morreall), and many others.
The one-week intensive course consists of talks, workshops, and meet-the-lecturer sessions, as well as a half-day symposium where everyone is encouraged to give an overview of his/her current or intended research.
